Does zeolite (clinoptilolite) actually bind and remove heavy metals?
In a randomized tracer study, healthy adults who took purified clinoptilolite with a lead isotope absorbed less of that dose than the placebo group. Maximum 204Pb enrichment was 0.505 percent with placebo versus 0.073 percent and 0.057 percent with the two active arms. The corpus describes this as about 90 percent lower enteral uptake. The study does not show removal of lead already stored in the body.
Study
